Additional Services

BEFORE & AFTER CARE:  As a service to our working parents, FCA provides early arrival care beginning at 6:30AM every school morning and late pick-up care till 6:00PM every school evening including school holidays outside of main holiday.  (Navigate to Day Care page for further information)

SUMMER CHILD CARE:  FCA offers summer care for enrolled families throughout the summer break.  Teachers continue teaching curriculum basics, prayer, and daily Bible lessons.  There is also a weekly field trip to make summer time fun and exciting.

ATHLETICS: FCA provides extra-curricular sports for our middle school and high school students. Athletic fees vary depending on the sport. FCA is a member of the Texas Association for Private and Parochial Schools or TAPPS. This organization is a state-wide competitive academics, arts and sports program by which FCA students compete for district, regional and state championships.

In this recent 2008/2009 school year, FCA students have achieve high marks in Academics TAPPS competition, placing fifth in State competition out of more than 25 schools.  We also competed in TAPPS Track State competition with 15 athletes.  Check out the Student Life for more details.

STUDENT COUNCIL:  FCA offers students in our middle school and high school the opportunity to earn leadership skills through election into the Student Council. They take the mission of FCA seriously.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: More than just an honor roll, National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) serve to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character (and Citizenship for NJHS). These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since their beginnings in 1921 and 1929. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.  Our students are required to earn community service hours each semester to remain in the NHS and NJHS.

TESTING:   FCA implements the Stanford Aptitude Test for norm assessment testing of all K5-12th grade students in the Spring of each year.  Unlike the public school Texas TAKS test which is primarily given to assess the school or teacher rather than the student,  the SAT test compares students nationwide per grade level and is used to primarily assess student performance, strength and weakness.

FCA facilitates the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) to our 10th and 11th grade students each year.  This test helps prepare our high school students for taking the Scholatic Aptitude Test for college assessment and entry in their senior year.

CHAPELS:  FCA provides a weekly chapel for all grade levels.  Weekly chapels include student-led praise and worship music which trains our students to praise and worship the Lord as a life style.  Our chapels also include dramas, puppets, games and inspiring messages from our teachers and outside guests.   Parents are welcome to attend.
